President Trump’s State of the Union Address is coming up at 9 p.m. EST tonight.
Grab your popcorn.
I guess we’ll find out if the Dreamers that Nancy Pelosi invited will show up as promised. Or if this might impact their decisions:
Today, Congressman Paul Gosar contacted the U.S. Capitol Police, as well as Attorney General Jeff Sessions, asking they consider checking identification of all attending the State of the Union address and arresting any illegal aliens in attendance.
— Rep. Paul Gosar, DDS (@RepGosar) January 30, 2018
Wouldn’t matter to Nancy anyway. She couldn’t care less as long as her pawns help her make a political point.
We’ll also find out if the president references in any way the four-page memo written by Devin Nunes’ staff. One thing is for absolute sure; there’s no way tonight is going to be the usual sleep-inducing laundry list of policy objectives.
And we have that super blue blood moon thing going around this time as well if you’re of that bent. Interesting times we live in.

McCabe Under Investigation For Stalling Laptop Probe Before Election
From The Daily Wire:
Deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe’s sudden departure remains a mystery, but the clues seem to lead back to one man: Anthony Weiner.
According to a report in the Washington Post, McCabe was the subject of an internal investigation, attempting to find out why he stalled nearly three weeks before investigating a set of potentially classified emails found on a laptop shared by disgraced Congressman Anthony Weiner, and his wife, Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin.
The inspector general Michael E. Horowitz, WaPo reports, has been asking witnesses ” why FBI leadership seemed unwilling to move forward on the examination of emails found on the laptop,” choosing to wait until nearly the end of October to comb through for potentially damning evidence that then-candidate Clinton had mishandled classified information, sending it to Abedin to print, even if Abedin wasn’t cleared to see the messages.
Horowitz seems concerned that McCabe and others were attempting to stall the investigation until after the Presidential election had concluded, ostensibly to help Clinton avoid any negative press.
Rep. Gaetz: “Justice May Be Coming Very Soon” to Clinton Foundation
“Like cornered rats.”
I like the cut of Gaetz’ jib. He doesn’t waffle and he speaks like those of us who have been pounding the table on this for years. We aren’t constrained by congressional niceties the way Gaetz, Jordan, and DeSantis must be, so for them to come out with such strong words takes courage.
SOTU Thoughts and Pics
I’ll admit I am not one for long political speeches. They put me to sleep, quite often in the literal sense. But Trump’s address was a cut above the usual SOTU.
That said, I vastly prefer firebrand Trump to polite, statesmanlike Trump. I think I first knew it was going to be a more traditional speech when I saw he had the blue tie on. If he was “Don-ing” the red power tie – like in the third and most important debate where he made mincemeat of Hillary – you’d have known he was going to tear into someone.
But while it wasn’t the style I prefer, I see why he went the route he did. It likely won over many in the middle of the political spectrum and his disarming address made the Democrats in attendance look small and petty.
As seen by these pictures:
Nancy Pelosi in full sourpuss mode. Does patriotism and law-and-order leave that bad a taste in your mouth Nance?
The Congressional Black Caucus sitting stone-faced while the president talked about the declining unemployment rate amongst black Americans. Not a good look, guys.
But the night really belonged to this guy. I think the word inspirational gets thrown around far too often. It really does apply in this case, however.
Now we wait for the memo. Best guess is it’ll be revealed a few days after the Super Bowl so it doesn’t get overshadowed or under reported. Trump will enjoy the bump in the polls until then.
White House chief of staff John Kelly, in a wide-ranging interview with Fox News Radio, said the California teacher who has made headlines for bashing the military in a profane classroom rant should “go to hell” – while also vowing that the classified memo that Republicans say reveals shocking government surveillance abuses will soon be made public.
“Well, I think the guy ought to go to hell,” Kelly, a retired Marine general, told host Brian Kilmeade on Wednesday in a post-State of the Union interview. “I just hope he enjoys the liberties and the lifestyle that we have fought for.”
Gregory Salcido, the El Rancho High School teacher, was recorded asking students in his government class why they would want to serve in the military overseas, calling them “the lowest of our low.” He has since been put on administrative leave.
Kelly also said the classified memo circulating in Congress that purportedly reveals government surveillance abuses will be made public soon.
“It’ll be released here pretty quick I think and the whole world can see it,” he said.
Trump Caught on Mic at SOTU: “Don’t Worry. 100%” Memo Will Be Released
From the Washington Examiner:
President Trump told a Republican lawmaker he will “100 percent” release a classified intelligence memo written by GOP members on the House Intelligence Committee, as he left his first State of the Union address.
“[Inaudible] release the memo,” Rep. Jeff Duncan, R-S.C., can be heard saying on the C-SPAN hot mic.
Trump responded: “Don’t worry, 100 percent.”
Duncan’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The top Democrat on the U.S. House of Representatives Intelligence Committee said on Wednesday a memo by the panel’s Republicans opens the door for the White House to fire the special counsel probing Russia’s alleged meddling in the U.S. election or the No. 2 official at the Justice Department.
“It … increases the risk of a constitutional crisis by setting the stage for subsequent actions by the White House to fire (Special Counsel Robert) Mueller or, as now seems more likely, Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein,” Representative Adam Schiff said in an opinion piece in the Washington Post.
From Sara Carter:
Newly released text messages between a pair of FBI anti-Trump officials at the center of the Russia investigation controversy show that they sought to “get around” rules established by the government to preserve text messages, stating that none of the agencies abide by the rules then “why should we.”
Former FBI agent Peter Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page discussed getting new Apple iPhones, in lieu of their Samsung 5 government issued phones in text messages they exchanged in August 2016. They noted in the texts that the new phones would help keep their text messages from government collection after speaking with the FBI’s IT director, according to newly released August 2016 text messages.
“According to text messages produced by the committee, Ms. Page and Mr. Strzok make references to communicating with other FBI employees via text message, phone call, email, and voice mail,” stated Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Sen. Ron Johnson, in a letter dated Jan. 31, to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. “Additional text messages suggest that FBI officials used non-official email accounts and messaging programs to communicate about official business.”
I bolded that last line because this ties in with what I’ve been writing about in regards to the Palpatine’s Revenge messages intercepted off Gliph and posted to the dark web back in May of 2017. [For more on Palpatine’s Revenge, please see the previous storm threads.] Those messages are going to be quite important in the coming months.
This is encouraging. Let the corrupted upper crust of the FBI stew in their own juices.
President Trump is expected to approve the release of a classified memo spearheaded by the staff of House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes.
According to a Thursday afternoon pool report, a White House official confirmed upon arrival to West Virginia that the president “has read the memo.”
Trump will declassify the controversial four-page memo that reportedly details surveillance abuses by the Department of Justice and FBI, and send it back to House Intelligence for a Friday morning release.
“The president is OK with it,” a senior administration official told reporters. “I doubt there will be any redactions. It’s in Congress’ hands after that.”
If the “Special Relationship” is damaged, so be it. The attempted subverting of the American electoral process – helped in part by ex-MI6 Christopher Steele – is more important than niceties between spooks.
Britain’s spy agencies risk having their intelligence methods revealed if Donald Trump releases a controversial memo about the FBI, congressional figures have warned.
The UK will be less likely to share confidential information if the secret memo about the Russian investigation is made public, according to those opposing its release.
Mr Trump is expected to tell Congress on Friday that he has no objections to the memo being released. He is also not likely to request that any of part of it be redacted, senior sources in the administration have told US media.
A source in US Congress looking into Russian election meddling told The Telegraph that Britain’s security services would be “rankled” if the information is made public.
Interesting…I think this fits the Mueller Trojan Horse Theory quite nicely. Comments below the snippet.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team has postponed the sentencing of former national security adviser Michael Flynn due to the “status” of the investigation, raising questions as to what the development means for the direction of the Russia probe.
A one-page “Joint Status Report” filed Wednesday in federal court in Washington gave notice that they would file another such report within 90 days.
“Due to the status of the Special Counsel’s investigation, the parties do not believe that this matter is ready to be scheduled for a sentencing hearing at this time,” the document, signed by Mueller and Flynn attorneys Robert Kelner and Stephen Anthony, said.
“The parties shall file a joint status report by no later than May 1, 2018, stating whether the matter should be scheduled for sentencing or whether a deadline should be set for filing another joint status report,” said a related order signed by Judge Emmet G. Sullivan.
But another former U.S. official told Fox News the decision to delay Flynn’s sentencing could be related to the judge presiding over the case.
U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia Judge Rudolph Contreras took Flynn’s guilty plea on Dec. 1, 2017 – but just days later, Contreras recused himself from the case.
A court spokesperson told Fox News that the courts do not disclose grounds for recusal.
“It may very well be that the guilty plea cannot stand because of all of this,” former federal prosecutor Joseph diGenova told Fox News Thursday, noting that Contreras also is a judge on the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.
The bolding above is mine.
Flynn will never see the inside of a prison. I’ve said for a while that the charges will be dropped/dismissed – whatever the legal term, I’m not a lawyer – because of conflicts with the way “evidence” was procured or with the investigators themselves. Please see the prior threads for my other thoughts on how Flynn is playing a part in the Kabuki. I think when it is all over, we’ll find out Flynn was perhaps the most instrumental man in Trump’s sting/storm against the Deep State.
Bullet points from the Washington Examiner:
* The Steele dossier formed an essential part of the initial and all three renewal FISA applications against Carter Page.
* Andrew McCabe confirmed that no FISA warrant would have been sought from the FISA Court without the Steele dossier information.
* The political origins of the Steele dossier were known to senior DOJ and FBI officials, but excluded from the FISA applications.
* DOJ official Bruce Ohr met with Steele beginning in the summer of 2016 and relayed to DOJ information about Steele’s bias. Steele told Ohr that he, Steele, was desperate that Donald Trump not get elected president and was passionate about him not becoming president.
The FBI and Justice Department mounted a monthslong effort to keep the information outlined in the memo out of the House Intelligence Committee’s hands. Only the threat of contempt charges and other forms of pressure forced the FBI and Justice to give up the material.
In other words, as we already surmised, the honchos at the FBI and DOJ knew the dossier was politically-motivated and likely knew it was fraudulent when they pushed it through to the FISA courts.
Going to read a few other articles on the subject to see if the raw memo is online yet.
Fox News With More Details on Memo
From Catherine Herridge, who might be the best journalist around:
— Fox News (@FoxNews) February 2, 2018
Herridge says that the memo states the FBI and DOJ used media reports to give the dossier the appearance of credibility. This was done via circular reporting. Christopher Steele went to six media outlets – this was confirmed by Fox through British court records – to brief them of the contents of the dossier.
- As I wrote in the first few storm threads, there was a reason Fusion GPS’ lawyers were red of tooth and claw fighting to keep their client’s banking records from the committee. After Steele’s direct contact with the FBI was shut down, he continued to feed information through Bruce Ohr.
- Essentially=Steele>Fusion GPS>Nellie Ohr>Bruce Ohr>DOJ>FBI
Herridge also explains why a fraud put before the FISA court is a big deal:
#Memo: "Steele admitted to Ohr his feelings against then Candidate Trump, in September of 2016, when Steele told Ohr, that he Steele 'was desperate that Donald Trump not get elected and was passionate about him not being president.'" #MemoDay https://t.co/5v5qfh17vS pic.twitter.com/kUUAF73yeQ

Who’s Potentially In Trouble For These Applications
These are the officials who signed off on one or more of the FISA applications in question:
- James Comey
- Andrew McCabe
- Sally Yates (Remember the gushing of one of Mueller’s investigators, Andrew Weissman?)
- Rod Rosenstein
- Dana Boente
This is full-scale collusion between the top rungs of the FBI and DOJ, the Clinton campaign/DNC (through Perkins Coie and Fusion GPS), and the NeverTrump GOP establishment (Hi, John McCain, Bill Kristol, and Evan McMullin!) to frame Donald Trump by utilizing a foreign spook with an ax to grind and the ideologically-willing using idiots in the mainstream press (like Michael Isikoff) to subvert the legal system.
First, it was an attempt to stop Donald Trump from becoming president, then it became an attempt to undermine the will of the electorate.
It was a desperate attempt. A LATE, panicked attempt. A sloppy attempt as I wrote in an earlier Patreon post. Most of this scurrying took place AFTER the Loretta Lynch-Bill Clinton Tarmac meeting made Hillary vulnerable to defeat in November. Whoever tipped off the media to that meeting had a massive influence in the history of our nation. The panicked Russian Narrative was the “oh shit, he might actually win” reaction and mechanism to cover-up MUCH, MUCH worse things done by the Obama/Clinton regimes and the Deep State intel agencies.
Matt Gaetz was right. This is big stuff.
People are going to jail over this. Big names, too. And it’s just the tip of the iceberg, folks.
McCain Already Doing The Deep State’s Post-Memo Bidding
This is not going to age well when it’s found that Hillary was doing Putin’s bidding and you helped her out, you old, corrupt coot.
The latest attacks on the FBI and Department of Justice serve no American interests – no party’s, no president’s, only Putin’s. https://t.co/6dsbcBIla6
